Pitman, photographer, has
been in touch and tells of how the above brochure came to be:
"I
had spent all my time previously photographing Theatre and Musicians.
Peter Had recently finished college. He had never designed a car brochure
and I had never photographed a car. But working to his visuals we carried
it off. Apart from the location shots we spent 24 hours in a car studio
with a full infinity curve to get our monies worth and learnt really fast,
probably a case of having to.
A colleague Chris Craske always worked with me in my hire studio and was
an excellent lighting man. The cover photo was lit using the modelling
lamp (240watt) in the flash unit I had. A five minute exposure I seem to
recall. The shot of the 2+2 was done at the old Old Shoreham Power Station
before it was eventually demolished.
A few years later Peter designed and I photographed a brochure for Den
Tanner (Kit Car Mag) when he ran Bulldog Cars. That one was shot partly in
Covent Garden."
